Allswell Luxe Classic

Materials & Construction:
  • 5 Layers, 12″ Thick
  • All Foam Construction
  • Luxe, Soft & Cool Cover

The Allswell Memory Foam Mattress is a 12-inch-thick, 5-layer bed. The top layer consists of 2 lb. memory foam that is about 1″ and works to contour your body and relieve pressure. The comfort layer beneath that is another 1.5″ of memory foam with the same properties.

The layer of Air Flow foam is 2.75 lbs. in density, and is supposed to be breathable and dissipate heat to provide a cool, comforting sleep. Below that, we have a 3-inch layer of Super Soft Foam that creates additional comfort, followed by a 5.5-inch-thick layer of High Density Base Foam that provides the ultimate core support and foundation of the mattress.

These foam layers combined make a solid, durable base and create a balanced medium-soft feel. All of this is covered in a luxe soft, smooth cover with added cooling properties.

Sleeping on the Allswell Luxe Foam Mattress:

The Allswell Luxe Classic Mattress was exactly what we expected: slightly softer than a medium-feel but optimal for side and back sleeping. We loved the initial softness of the plush topper and top foam layers, and could even feel the support from the base layers as well.

This made it balanced and comfortable, and relieved pressure points all while feeling smooth and consistent. If you’re looking for a thick memory foam mattress that has a slightly softer feel, we highly recommend the Allswell Foam Mattress.

Comfort & Support:
  • Medium-Soft Feel
  • Ideal for Side and Back Sleepers

On the firmness scale (1= softest; 10= firmest), the Allswell falls around a 4.5 to 5. This bed is considered to be a medium-soft mattress, and is more ideal of side sleeping—though back sleepers will receive great comfort and support from it too.

While the top layers are very soft, the base is much firmer. You’ll notice your shoulders and hips easily sink in and that you still receive plenty of support. The memory foam is dense enough to support you, but also soft enough to cocoon and contour your body—the best of both worlds for most sleepers.

Temperature Regulation:
  • Some Heat Retention
  • Cool to the Touch Cover

Though several of the foam layers in the Allswell Luxe Classic typically struggle to disperse heat, most of them are aerated and contain air pockets that work to dissipate heat. There may still be some warmth coming from the foam layers, but it definitely has less heat retention than the standard memory-foam mattress.

Additionally, the Allswell Foam’s top cover is designed with cooling fibers for a cool-to-the-touch feel. If you don’t have much issue with sleeping warm, you’ll enjoy this mattress.

Motion Transfer:
  • Good Motion Isolation
  • Foams Easily Absorb Excess Movements

For anyone who is a light sleeper or easily disturbed, having a mattress that excels at isolating motion is crucial. The Allswell did a good job of minimizing vibrations and created little to no motion transfer.

The multiple dense layers of memory foam soften and reduce movement before it even reaches your partner. The dense base foam also works to absorb any excess or heavy movements, making for a sturdy and consistent sleeping surface.

Edge Support:
  • Fully Usable Sleeping Surface
  • Okay for Sitting on Edge

The Allswell Memory Foam Mattress has a great supportive perimeter. The edge support is fairly consistent throughout the whole mattress, and sleeping near the edge will feel similar to sleeping in the middle of the bed; however, we recommend staying an inch or two away from the edge of you don’t like the “roll out of bed” feeling.

All in all, the Allswell Luxe has good edge support for sleeping, and sitting infrequently shouldn’t have too much an impact on the edge support.

Delivery, Unboxing & Off Gassing:
  • $25 Delivery Fee (Drop Shipped)
  • $99 Delivery Fee (White Glove Delivery)
  • $50 Removal Fee

When purchasing your Allswell Luxe Classic Mattress, you have two options for shipping: your first option is paying a $25 fee for the bed to be shipped in a box right to your door, and the second option entails a $99 fee for a white-glove delivery service. For an additional $50, you can have the delivery service remove your old mattress as well!

The mattress weighs around 70 lbs., so some assistance may be required. It’s nice that you are presented with the option of either doing it yourself or having a service do the job for you.

Off Gassing:

  • Overseas Manufacturing
  • Some Odor Upon Arrival

Regardless of your chosen delivery option, the mattress will need some time to breathe and expand upon arrival. Since this mattress will be traveling overseas, it will be wrapped and boxed for a longer time than usual, which will trap fumes and create some off gassing. Once you let the bed breathe for 24-48 hours, any noxious odors should dissipate. One perk is that the Allswell has CertiPUR-US foams, a chemical-free fire barrier and no chemical deodorizers.

For a queen size, the Allswell Memory Foam runs at about $855. This includes a 100-night trial period and 10-year limited warranty. Remember that shipping is $25 and opting for a white-glove service is $99 plus $50 for mattress removal.

The mattress itself comes at a very affordable price point. For a thick, durable memory foam mattress, the Allswell is offering high quality at an attainable price.
